Spring Break
It’s Spring Break for the kids this week. Sophia has been staying up late and sleeping in. Julian has been playing a lot of computer but he’s also been reading and babysitting to raise money for his Readathon, so I guess I can’t fault him too much. Steph and I are having fun. We’re social and active, madly in love and finally enjoying the Spring weather.

New tenant
I secured our first tenant for Bidwell. A simple, free ad on Zillow is all it took. He sounds to be an older guy. He and his wife are looking to move from the cold of NJ to the warmth and southern hospitality of the blue ridge mountains. He works from home as a senior DBA and has a solid credit score. He prepaid all the prerequisites I asked for and is actually taking the place sight unseen. Here’s hoping it’s the start of a long lasting, mutually beneficial relationship.
Dads heart ❤️
Dad (70) is going in to the hospital Monday to alleviate some heart blockage. He’s had two specialist opinions and both concurred that he’s got to do something about it. Likely a splint. He sounds ok with it. Fairly routine procedure. But still…it makes my own heart skip a beat.

Back to the drawing board
Well…I didn’t get the job. I saw the recruiters name pop up on caller ID and braced for whatever she had to say. “This is the hardest part of my job”, she said.
I hung up the phone and sank my head on the table.
Pins and needles
Thank you very much, Jason. Your patience and thoughtful engagement throughout the interview process has been much appreciated. Stay tuned and we will have news very soon.
Take care,
