Monday.
Rode my bike to work.
Changed from shorts into jeans and my flowered Paul Smith shirt.
I leave a pair of dress shoes in the office.
I threw my satchel on the floor and began my day.

End of another fun weekend. Kinda too much to put in sentence form so I’ll list.
I’m not even going to feign intellect on the subject but Great Britain seceded from the union today. The EU.
Global currencies dipped. The U.K. prime minister resigned. Trump tweeted. And we’ll just have to see what happens next.
voting is a crazy thing.
upcoming film series across the street.
My Reese’s pieces are home! Well, back in the US and on their way to North Carolina at least. We had a great call just now and the kids were so eager to tell me all about their adventures. My heart is pounding at the thought of seeing them soon.
Maybe it was a tough day at work, or maybe I’ve just been by myself too long, but I was feeling kinda down today and hearing their loving voices was just what I needed.

Not Italian, but still darn tasty! Peanut Butter cups and Hazelnuts
I’m back from LA and a really great trip with my family.
I stayed thru Sunday night, Father’s Day, and dad gave me a lift to LAX at 4:30am this morning from which I caught my flight and went straight to work.
It feels so long ago already, but just yesterday the bros and I were playing paddle tennis with dad and Irene by the beach in Venice. Rented some $5 paddles and played doubles in the blazing California heat. Paddle tennis rocks!
Later that eve, before digging into a kick-ass dinner that we all prepared, we gave dad a James Bond worthy bottle of single malt scotch whiskey and we heartily toasted with it.
We adjourned to dad’s billiards parlor to cap things off and by all measures it was the perfect finish to one of my favorite trips to LA yet.
Great day in Santa Barbara with these two!
